Benefits of the Premium range over the Classic36
-
Either 4mm (Premium38) or 4.75mm (Premium40, Premium35 or Premium45) UV pre sealed MDF skins, give the door more impact resistance, more rigidity and most importantly, a more reliable surface to apply higher level paint finishes.
-
The high density solid EPS polystyrene core, is the highest density polystyrene core on the market. This higher density, coupled with 100% surface lamination gives the Premium range extremely high impact resistance and the very best thermal insulation available, with an R value of 0.88. This 0.88 insulation R value is 5x better than a paper core.
-
20% larger pine rails and stiles, increase the doors overall strength, integrity, rigidity and weight.
The Premium range manufactured by Superior Doors Limited, has by far the best strength, thermal insulation and price to performance ratio in New Zealand. This is the obvious choice for almost all mid to high level homes.
Like the Classic36, there are still some limitations that need to be considered when specifying the Premium range. Whilst there is a significant improvement in the expected paint finish on the 4mm or 4.75mm door skins, there are still some limitations in the paint finishes that can be applied
Premium doors are not designed or manufactured for high gloss paints, lacquered finishes or darker colours. These may result in some visibility of the natural variation in the substrate and therefore will not be covered by the Superior Doors Limited warranty.
